get your veuve on
i hopped off the plane at lax with my boater hat and a bottle of veuve in hand...ready to attend the eighth annual veuve clicquot polo classic in los angeles! now many of you know that dana and i are regulars at the veuve polo classic in new york city so you can imagine our excitement when we made the decision to head to the west coast! we had no idea what to expect aside from the whole "champagne" thing haha but there were definitely some differences.
to me, the greatest difference between the two coasts was the fashion: and there was lots of it! i can't even begin to describe how many incredible outfits we saw that were worthy of "best dressed." and can we talk about jenn's outfit!? it was so much fun hanging out with her and her husband for the day because we very rarely see each other! they are seriously two of the sweetest people i have ever met!
with so many fashion powerhouses that were going to be in attendance, i had such a hard time finding an outfit for the classic this time around. and i can't even begin to describe how frustrating that was! especially since my outfit for the spring basically fell into my lap weeks before the event. and of course it didn't help that it was technically fall but the weather in los angeles was 85+ degrees...eek! but thankfully i was able to find this dress at the 11th hour which made everything come together perfectly! this was also the first polo classic to which i wore a hat and heels too! i know...i was brave.
it was definitely a ton of fun for dana and myself to attend the "other" coast's polo classic this year but there will always be a special place in my heart for new york!
