a piece of paris
there will always be a special place in my heart for paris. when i was in college, there was no question in my mind as to where i would study abroad and inevitably ended up at sciences po for my fall semester junior year. i had visited paris a few times prior to the move when i was in both middle and high school and i had the most magical of times. basically those experiences set the bar quite high for my time abroad. there still are some pre-blogging instagrams of mine floating around my feed but one of my favorite memories of my study abroad (and most photographed) were my strolls back from class through the luxembourg gardens with my little green ladurée bag: filled with nothing but sugary goodness!
it felt like an eternity before i could have these iconic french pastries again after returning to school in dc and every time i was in new york, i made a point to stop at their upper east side location (even if it was out of my way) just so i could relive my parisan days! flash forward to today, i now work dangerously close to those perfect treats and the proximity does not help my waistline one bit. but even when i just pass by, ladurée will always be the little piece of paris to remind me of some of my favorite months!
