beat the heat
new york city is getting hot...and i mean hot! i have not been able to escape very much to the hamptons this month and while i am crying on the inside, my skin is melting off on the outside and my hair is exponentially getting frizzier. is it fall yet!? summer is not fun! so with the temperatures increasing, the amount of time i spend outside is decreasing and the few times that i am outside, i try to make my clothing as comfortable as possible.
and when i say i try to make my clothing as comfortable as possible, this was definitely not the time...oops! in theory, this is the perfect summer dress and all i had to do was add a scarf! but what i didn't take into account was that the morning of these photos, it was 90 degrees and 90% humidity and both were evident in my hair! although not looking at the weather beforehand was a mistake, purchasing this dress was not! i still love all of the detail and the silhouette so next time, i will be wearing it to an indoor, air conditioned affair.
