brooklyn // no sleep till brooklyn
alright, i'm just going to come out and say it...i am not cool enough for brooklyn. my friend kate and i quickly learned this as we both made our first trip across the brooklyn bridge. i had been to the dumbo neighborhood of brooklyn before, but it was really just to take this picture. this time around, i wanted to truly get a feel for the trendy brooklyn lifestyle and explore the area. once across the bridge, i immediately felt significantly less cool and my preppy and feminine sense of style, didn't quite fit with the urban crowd...whoops!
but i think we blended in just enough (although my large and in charge camera wasn't the most subtle accessory). we adventured to my favorite wall located just after the bridge to add a little color to our day. after our exhausting walk, we needed to rehydrate with a little hot coco, and the obligatory cookie from one girl cookies. their tiny bite-sized cookies make out to be the perfect snack without any of the guilt! #winwin
i was hoping to catch the stained glass house by the brooklyn bridge park but upon arrival (and no house to be seen), we discovered that it had closed quite some time ago. we even got denied from the merry-go-round because it does not run on mondays and tuesdays. even though our big adventure to brooklyn didn't quite turn out how we had hoped, we still had an amazing time! our next obnoxious tourist to-do is the top of the rock observatory so stay tuned...
