it's the year of the road trip! with travel so understandably different, i've been looking back at past trips that i've loved and a great escape from nyc. while it's important to follow the guidelines per state, i wanted to round up five of my favorite fall road trips if you're able to visit!
Read Moreafter a month off from the blog, i’m finally back and ready for action! some of you may have seen on my stories that last week i was able to live out my life-long dream of being elsa while in canada. okay, it hasn’t been thaaat long but since discovering the most incredible ice masterpiece in alberta from this music video, i knew i needed to get there one day. dana and i had been talking about going on a winter trip for some time and since she was going to have a week off before starting her new job, we knew then would be our chance!
Read Moreafter a quick train ride from london, we arrived to the city of lights! paris has always been my favorite city (did you know i studied abroad here!?) and i was so excited to be back…especially to ring in the new year! while we opted for a more low key itinerary compared to london, we did have a few highlights on the schedule! the first being our “big” plans on new years eve - we went to go see swan lake! i know…the provost are crazy party animals haha! and our big meal of the trip was to le jules verne: restaurant in the eiffel tower by michelin-starred chef frédéric anton.

i was so excited when my family and i decided to head across the pond to celebrate my favorite holiday. now i know nyc does christmas decorations pretty well, but nothing can compare to london. while everyone in my family has been to london, i’ve never been during christmas and was eager to see all of the decorations in person! from my photo locations to what we did and where we ate, i break i all down for you below!
Read Morehot off the heels from my trip to finland, i hopped on another plane and headed south for warmer weather with krystal…for 24 hours! on tuesday, we took a late night flight down to miami to photograph a partnership she had with lincoln. i was so excited to get a little bit of warmth and sun even if it was only for a hot minute. the next morning we woke up at the crack of dawn to begin shooting. we were able to accomplish so much and it was so sweet of krystal to snap a few photos for me as well!
Read Morethis past week i embarked on a journey of a lifetime to finland! if you followed along on my #KeepingUpWithFinland journey on instagram, you would know i was invited by the zapwater team, visit finland, and arctic treehouse hotel. finland has always been a country on my must-visit list and i was so excited and honored that the team invited me to not only join, but photograph the trip!
Read Moreit’s no surprise that i looooove fall. i mean it’s my color palette to a t! so when carter and i had the opportunity to take a few days to head upstate when the trees were turning, we took it! we made the drive after our client shoots for the day and headed for hudson, new york. we decided to rent the cutest cabin via airbnb about an hour away to fully immerse ourselves into nature.
Read Moreas i’m sure many of you saw in my instastories (but saved in a highlight if you missed them!), a few weeks ago i had the incredible opportunity to attend and photograph a trip to the maldives thanks to zapwater and coco collection resorts. i was joined by four influencers - krystal, lisa, megan, and jenna - in addition to the amazing and fabulous zapwater evp jenn lake for this trip to paradise the other side of the world. so let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?
Read Morea few weeks ago, just before fashion week, i received a last minute opportunity to accompany the ever so fabulous jenn lake to rhode island while she modeled in the holiday look book for vineyard vines…oh yeah and it was at the one and only ocean house hotel! i gasped, rearranged my entire schedule, and hopped on an amtrak train towards westerly, rhode island: a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
upon arriving, jenn was already down in hair and makeup for her first day of shooting so i took this opportunity to explore the property and gush over our room. we were so excited to be staying in the ocean bluff 2-bedroom suite that overlooked the water…to say we were in heaven would be an understatement. not only were there two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but the suite had a complete kitchen, dining table, living room, kids play room and the largest terrace that rivaled the size of my nyc apartment.
Read Morewhen planning my trip home from sweden, my route home was inevitably going to have a layover in amsterdam. instead of your typical few hour layover, i decided to extend the layover overnight and actually get a chance to walk around one of the cities that’s been on my list forever!

back in july, elle, dana, and i made our way to nantucket for a girl’s weekend! we had been talking about going to nantucket for well over a year and in january we finally booked the trip. now, after going to nantucket for four days, i can confirm it is the cutest place we have ever been and i’m officially and expert haha. it is a photographer and influencer dream as the fairly small island is full of beautiful homes and scenery and i truly can’t wait to go back!
Read Moreafter seemingly years of seeing the parker hotel in palm springs take over my instagram feed, i finally made it over to the picturesque hotel! during my last trip to california with my family. i somehow was able to convince them to make the 2 hour drive over to palm springs from la basically so i could take a couple instagram photos (but shhhh don’t tell them) - but it ended up being so much fun! i absolutely fell in love with the mid-century modern architecture and i felt like i was an old hollywood movie star on vacation haha!

the fact that i get to travel as a part of my job will forever be surreal to me. i get the opportunities to experience incredible sights and places because of my blogging and photography that i otherwise would not have seen - and many times, i have my best friends right by my side. but more often than not, followers just see the final photo that many times takes hours and hours of preparation and post production giving the illusion that traveling as a blogger is glamorous. and don’t get me wrong, i would not be doing this if i didn’t love it 110% but i think people often forget that this is a job and when i’m traveling, i am working. i will say i too sometimes will scroll through instagram and come across the perfect photo with the best lighting, location, and corresponding outfit that sometimes i assume it was all by coincidence. granted sometimes that does happen, but more often than not, photos and posts have so much more care and attention involved in them that the final image will never be able to show. with that in mind, i wanted to go a little more in-depth and share what went into this shoot and the crazy packed day that followed.

one of the most incredible things about instagram (and pretty much the internet in general) is that it has become a source of endless inspiration for content. from outfits and beauty ideas, to lifestyle and fitness goals, instagram has infinite pages of videos and photos to look at. but time and time again, i see photos of the cutest coffee shops or the most charming brownstones with the geotag “new york, new york" (if any at all) as if the poster wants to prevent anyone else from instagramming from the same location…and will ignore any questions pertaining to the location of the photo.

being a photographer, my standards for my own personal photos are slightly higher than the average blogger’s...some may call it pickier but let’s just say thankfully when i’m home in nyc, i shoot with lydia hudgens for all of my content…and thankfully she knows how to deal with all of my crap by now (throwback to my first shoot with her back in 2015)! and while i would love to pack lydia in my suitcase for all of my travels or clone myself to take my photos, i can’t (yet). therefore i’ve had to come up with tips and tricks so i can have my friends and family (and the occasional kind stranger) help me out.

after a week off, i’m back with a new post here on the blog and now that i’ve set a new intention for my posts, i’m not only just going to be talking about what i’m wearing or what i ate for brunch at le sirenuse in miami (because i had one of everything let’s be honest), but rather a topic i want to share. while visiting my friend fendi in miami last month, i knew we needed to stop at the sister restaurant of my favorite hotel in positano. i knew i wanted a plethora of photos by their iconic green bar just inside from their patio but i needed to take them without my security blanket: sunglasses.
