sail to sable x style charade

i am so incredibly proud my friend jenn lake and the launch of her capsule collection with sail to sable! the six dresses jenn created perfectly embody her style and eye for color and prints with sizes ranging from xxs-3x! naturally this blue striped “charlotte” dress had my name written all over it and i literally didn’t wear anything else all weekend! and on top of it all, a portion of the proceeds are going to feeding america!!

congrats again to jenn and i’m so excited to see what you do next!

on the rhode with vineyard vines

a few weeks ago, just before fashion week, i received a last minute opportunity to accompany the ever so fabulous jenn lake to rhode island while she modeled in the holiday look book for vineyard vines…oh yeah and it was at the one and only ocean house hotel! i gasped, rearranged my entire schedule, and hopped on an amtrak train towards westerly, rhode island: a 15 minute drive from the hotel.

upon arriving, jenn was already down in hair and makeup for her first day of shooting so i took this opportunity to explore the property and gush over our room. we were so excited to be staying in the ocean bluff 2-bedroom suite that overlooked the water…to say we were in heaven would be an understatement. not only were there two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but the suite had a complete kitchen, dining table, living room, kids play room and the largest terrace that rivaled the size of my nyc apartment.

talk birdie to me

for those of you who don't necessarily pay close attention to my instastories, you may not have known i am a huge golf nerd...as in i literally play whenever i can and am even considering going to a golf camp for a weekend to master my game! but aside from that, i think we can all imagine how i reacted when i was given the opportunity to attend one of the practice rounds of the grand-daddy of all golf tournaments: the masters!

dreaming of a plaid christmas

i cannot believe christmas is finally here! it feels like this holiday season came and went in a flash! but i am so excited to finally share my last and favorite holiday outfit that i told you would have no shortage of plaid. now be sure to spend today with family and friends and have yourself a merry little christmas!

prepping with plaid

this holiday season, plaid has been my go-to print and it was inevitable that i bring out my favorite shirt from last christmas! this year, i decided to pair this christmas classic with the skirt that i've already worn a million times (seen here and here) and added a few extra sparkles. now i can't wait to show you all the grand finale that is plaid perfection!

prepping for fall

fall is officially here but that doesn't mean mother nature is quite caught up with the times as yesterday's temperatures were in the high 80s. ugh! so let the awkward transition period begin where all i want to wear are chunky sweaters as all of my summer dresses have been put away. sticking to darker hued dresses will be my go to option until the weather can finally cool down a bit. as soon as i saw this dress when it arrived into the store, i immediately snagged my size. i normally don't gravitate towards a sheath silhouette but seeing this print made my decision easy. and although this dress doesn't have sleeves, i knew i would be able to layer it with ease...you know, when it actually gets cold. it also comes with a matching jacket that would give me major blair waldorf vibes if they were worn together!

in bloom

to say this winter has been brutal, would be an understatement. so i was ecstatic to see the weather in london was going to not be freezing...or as freezing as new york. so i took this opportunity to start bringing out my spring pieces, while still trying to make them winter-appropriate.
