as i briefly mentioned here, the days leading up to christmas, i was surprised with the news that the camp we were staying at in africa did not have wifi (like i was initially told). but i’m clearly not still bitter about it….nooooooo haha!
this was the one post i was extra excited to post this year because it is my annual lotte palace hotel christmas tree shoot! this is by far my (and every other blogger in new york’s) favorite christmas tree in the city. one reason why i love this the most is that the crowds are manageable and you are able to go right up to the tree - no barricades! oh, and of course i always have fake wrapped christmas gifts…duh!
so in any case, merry christmas! i hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday with your families!

yesterday on the blog, i shared the look i wore to andrea's wedding and it only seemed appropriate that i share the outfit i wore to her rehearsal dinner as well! seeing as i was going to be drinking and eating all night, i knew i wanted to be comfy. aka i wanted to find the flowy-est of flowy dresses there was. and i'm pretty sure i nailed it with this polka dotted number. while admittedly it is not the most flattering thing i've ever worn here on this blog...it is without a doubt the comfiest and i'm so happy i wore it as the food at the dinner did not disappoint!

for those of you who may not know, i'm kind of a broadway nerd. i even went to a broadway camp here in nyc when i was in middle school...i know...it's okay to be jealous. but ever since i realized my fate of not being the best singer, i knew i would have to settle for only being an audience member. but i'm definitely okay with that! most recently i've seen mean girls on broadway, dear evan hansen (twice), hello dolly, anastasia, and then when i got the invitation to attend frozen on broadway a few weeks ago, i couldn't say no! as much as i wanted to channel my inner elsa, i decided to dress away from the theme of the musical and opted for a more sophisticated ensemble. i had so much fun feeling like an old hollywood star in this trumpeted skirt and completed the look with my favorite grandma bag...and it was so comfortable for the evening!

Read Moreonce upon a time, in the middle of nowhere austria, was a monastery that housed arguably the world's most beautiful library. one so stunning that it was even the inspiration for the library in beauty and the beast. after seeing a photo of this heavenly place on instagram (vaguely geo-tagged austria), i set out on the quest to track it down. after hours of research...okay dramatic but whatever...i finally found it: admont abbey. the town of admont was located right on the way to salzburg, austria (where we were heading next) and figured that we would stop there on the way for convenience. but thankfully i looked at the hours and would have been closed the day we were heading to salzburg (as well as the remainder of our trip). so we had to move to plan b. after our morning at the schönbrunn palace, we hopped in the car to make the 3 hour journey to admont. aka a total of 6 hours "to do it for the gram."
Read Moreapril is here already!! that means we are one month closer to fall (hope you didn't think i was going to say summer). but until then, i be transitioning into spring with the best way i know how: layering! when i found this completely sheer dress with slits up to the waist, i knew i had to work a little bit of magic. i loved adding the all black ensemble underneath to make the stunning embellishments truly pop!
Read Morenow i know this post technically should be named "snow check" but i think we can all agree this umbrella was just too cute to pass on! this transition to spring has definitely taken us on a whirlwind ride including some crazy temperature changes. two weeks ago we had a blizzard and now it is 65 degrees with half the day raining and the other half sunny. feel free to make up your mind mother nature!
