i can’t believe summer is technically over and that fall is right around the corner…i mean where has the time gone!? i have had some truly amazing experiences throughout this summer and my website has definitely taken a back seat as a result. posts have definitely been sporadic and delayed but i’m definitely trying to get better at planning these out!

after seemingly years of seeing the parker hotel in palm springs take over my instagram feed, i finally made it over to the picturesque hotel! during my last trip to california with my family. i somehow was able to convince them to make the 2 hour drive over to palm springs from la basically so i could take a couple instagram photos (but shhhh don’t tell them) - but it ended up being so much fun! i absolutely fell in love with the mid-century modern architecture and i felt like i was an old hollywood movie star on vacation haha!

while dana, andrea, and i were in vermont, we tried to take advantage of as much of the fall foliage as we could! while we ended up being just a week late for the peak of the colors, we couldn’t help but just drive around and get lost in the streets of stowe. honestly it seemed that every block was prettier than the next and we would immediately hop out and take some photos…and maybe play in the leaves a bit.

when in rome...one must always rent a cute vespa, wear a matching vespa dress, and ride around the colosseum like the tourist you are! around two months before i left for rome, i stumbled upon this obnoxiously adorable vespa-printed dress and immediately sent it to ashley...as i was so impressed with my find! she then quickly informed me that she, too, had purchased the dress haha! so it was fate that we wore them together for this day! we did though get a few looks when we walked into the vespa rental place.....

as evident from my last post, light linen dresses are my go-to pieces for this season. and when i was packing for my trip to rome, i realized i needed a one more dress that i could just throw on without thinking! i thankfully found this dress that is under $100 that was so comfy i nearly bought it in the other color too! i threw on my favorite prada hat and i was ready to eat all of the pasta my stomach could allow!
Read Moreafter making my return to italy for the second time in six weeks, i was so excited to get to explore rome this time around! while this may not have been my first trip to rome (i spent thanksgiving here when i was studying abroad in paris!), it was my first trip to the city as a blogger...two totally different experiences! basically what it means to travel as a blogger is the leisurely mornings are replaced with 4am alarms to get to the most popular tourist destination before some people even come home from their evening.

oh savannah! your picturesque streets were seemingly never-ending and i could have walked them for hours...and i basically did! we fueled up for our only full-day with the most incredible brunch at collins quarter before heading out on our adventures. and because ashley is no stranger to savannah (she lives just a couple hours away!), she knew all of the perfect spots and corners for me to imagine myself living there. but if it wasn't for the raging summer heat and humidity, i would have packed up and moved that instant! thankfully i had the comfiest dress to strut around town in and it kept me cool all day long! our day was filled wandering the streets of historic savannah and worked up an appetite for dinner at pacci right before our ghost tour that night! oh yeah, and speaking of ghost tour, i had no idea how haunted this town was! i'm just thankful we didn't go on one on our first night! but spoiler alert: i made it through my last spooky night before i bolted out of there the next day!
Read Morethis season, i have been making more of a conscious effort to mix and match pieces that i already own and try to incorporate them into my current fall wardrobe. i absolutely loved wearing this coat last year and this dress back when i was in london...and of course i had to pair these pieces with my latest obsession: these green over the knee boots! when i say i have already worn these boots to death, i mean it. i'm strongly considering buying a second pair (in addition the the black pair i already purchased).
Read Moreworking in the fashion and retail industry, i know firsthand that it is incredibly rare to get a perfect fit. there is always some tweaking that could be done to get the piece to fit just right. and for me that tweaking sometimes requires a little more manual labor than i would probably like to admit. in a world of sizes small, medium and large (or 1, 2, and 3...i'm giving you major side eye maje), those not included in those categories get pushed to the sidelines and i start getting creative.
