provence // les baux sont beaux
i had the most amazing time exploring (what seemed like) every inch of provence! on our last day, we decided to take it very easy and just visit les baux. our last stop was another hilltop town and you would think i would have changed my shoes...but nope! so it was hiking in chanel flats for me! although, i would not have been disappointed if i wore these and they got ruined instead.
i'm not going to lie, by this day i was absolutely exhausted so climbing up to the top of another mountain (okay i'm being dramatic) wasn't exactly my favorite. in my way of rebelling, i decided to wear my "post-touring" dress that i would switch into after a long day of adventuring. but, hey! it was comfortable and just what i wanted to wear on my last day! i love traveling in shirt dresses because they are so simple to throw on! shop some of my favorite shirt dresses at the end!
our touring in les baux was minimal and we rarely stopped for pictures. i wanted to just take in the last "cutesy" town on the vacation and stroll through the streets. although i was being lazy, i did want to make it to the very top of the chateau des baux de provence to see the views. so we made our way up the streets by foot - because no parking, duh - and entered into the chateau. there were very little remains of the chateau but you were able to picture what it would have looked like with the aid of maps and pictures throughout the grounds. and once we got to the top, the views were breathtaking!
throughout this trip, the views, food, wine, and adventures were incredible and i am so happy i finally went to provence. for those of you heading that way, one week is the perfect amount of time to spend there! we saw so many different cities and i truly felt as if i had seen it all!
au revoir provence! until next time!
