with the beginning of the holidays, this means that fall is officially at an end. it has been fun, fall, and i will truly miss you deeply. thankfully i did save one more outfit that i shot here in nyc when the fall foliage was at its peek! this skirt has already made the rounds a few times in my real life wardrobe and loved pairing it with this oversized cozy sweater to show here on the blog! now let the christmas festivities begin and i can’t wait to show you all the holiday outfits for this year!
until next year, fall!

after making my return to italy for the second time in six weeks, i was so excited to get to explore rome this time around! while this may not have been my first trip to rome (i spent thanksgiving here when i was studying abroad in paris!), it was my first trip to the city as a blogger...two totally different experiences! basically what it means to travel as a blogger is the leisurely mornings are replaced with 4am alarms to get to the most popular tourist destination before some people even come home from their evening.

it's that time of year again...the new york city veuve clicquot polo classic (also know as christmas in june) is without a doubt my favorite event of the year! coming off of last year's new york times worthy outfit i knew i needed something extra for this year. so when i stumbled upon this stunning christian siriano dress online, i knew it was going to be the one! the detailing and the structure of the dress were absolutely breathtaking and the metallic threading perfectly reflected the light...oh and the pockets were an added bonus! the second i tried it on in his new midtown townhouse store (adorably decorated by the way!), i fell in love and had them ring me up right away! and just as a quick sidebar, the entire staff there is phenomenal! literally have never had such an amazing experience at a store!

if you have been following along on my instastories, it has been quite the adventurous few weeks for me. i began my roughly two week long trip with a family wedding in puerto vallarta, mexico. but while i may have absolutely loved the outfit that i was going to wear to the ceremony, i knew i wanted to be sure to exclude any blogging or photography (aside from iphone photos of course) during those days with my family. mostly because my parents may be used to my blogging ridiculousness, but my extended family definitely isn't...and i didn't think this was the opportunity to expose them to that side of me haha! but about a month ago, i saw this beyond incredible dress on karen of where did u get that and needed it immediately knowing it would be perfect for this beachside wedding. knowing i wasn't going to be shooting this in mexico, i decided to get a jump start and use this dress as an excuse to do my favorite springtime activity: rowing boats in central park! and i'm especially thankful to lydia because just days earlier she witnessed someone fall in the lake trying to take a photo...needless to say she was scarred and i offered that we used my equipment this day!

to give a little back story on this post, a few years ago, i saw the stunning rach parcell visit the dreamiest of tulip fields. as much as i would have loved to hop on a plane and jet off to washington state, back then, i would never have been able to justify flying to the other side of the country to visit a field of flowers. but now? it's a whole different story. thankfully i was able to persuade dana to come along with me just a few weeks before the skagit valley tulip festival began and what seemed like only days later, we were on our way to seattle! we arrived to the rainy city tired after our 6am flight but this meant we had the whole day to explore downtown. we dropped our bags off at our hotel and headed to the typical seattle hotspots (but more on that later).

gingham is back baby, and i couldn't be more excited! it has been too long since i've worn my favorite spring and summer print and am so relieved that it is becoming a staple in my wardrobe. but what isn't a staple in my wardrobe is the color yellow...i know. i honestly can't tell you the last time i owned something in that color! i just have never thought it looked good with my skin tone so i would continue to bypass yellow when shopping. however, in the spirit of spring, i figured i had to give this pastel-perfect dress a shot! needless to say i was not disappointed.
Read Moreour time in london was short, but thankfully we were able to carve out a little time to hit up regent street for a little (and much needed) shopping! of course, we stopped at our favorite european-based stores like ted baker and zara, but the afternoon wouldn't have bee complete without a visit to the kate spade shop! duh!
