it's the year of the road trip! with travel so understandably different, i've been looking back at past trips that i've loved and a great escape from nyc. while it's important to follow the guidelines per state, i wanted to round up five of my favorite fall road trips if you're able to visit!
Read Morehello fall!! it's crazy that today is officially the first day of fall but i couldn't be more thrilled for cooler temps, cider doughnuts, and of course, fall fashion! today i've rounded up some of the fall pieces i've had my eyes on and best of all, they're all under $200.

it’s no surprise that i looooove fall. i mean it’s my color palette to a t! so when carter and i had the opportunity to take a few days to head upstate when the trees were turning, we took it! we made the drive after our client shoots for the day and headed for hudson, new york. we decided to rent the cutest cabin via airbnb about an hour away to fully immerse ourselves into nature.

with the beginning of the holidays, this means that fall is officially at an end. it has been fun, fall, and i will truly miss you deeply. thankfully i did save one more outfit that i shot here in nyc when the fall foliage was at its peek! this skirt has already made the rounds a few times in my real life wardrobe and loved pairing it with this oversized cozy sweater to show here on the blog! now let the christmas festivities begin and i can’t wait to show you all the holiday outfits for this year!
until next year, fall!

suits, recently, have been my favorite things to throw on (see here) so when i saw blair eadie’s collection had no shortage of matching suits, i couldn’t help myself but to buy one! …yeah yeah yeah okay two! and the best part about blair’s collection in collaboration with halogen, was the versatility and interchangeableness (is that even a word?) with one another so i felt so comfortable pairing this polka dotted blouse with the printed suit to complete the look!

while dana, andrea, and i were in vermont, we tried to take advantage of as much of the fall foliage as we could! while we ended up being just a week late for the peak of the colors, we couldn’t help but just drive around and get lost in the streets of stowe. honestly it seemed that every block was prettier than the next and we would immediately hop out and take some photos…and maybe play in the leaves a bit.

after dana and i checked out of our hotel, we met up with andrea and made the switch over to the cutest airbnb just a few minutes from the downtown area. and holy crap was it the cutest! while it’s inside was decent, the reason we ended up choosing this location was because it was on a farm! like a real farm!! haha okay this city girl is going to calm down now! while i was behind the camera for a lot of the farm shots for dana and andrea, they were truly some of my favorites! loved this one i took for andrea and this one for dana!

last month, dana and i decided we needed a heavy dose of fall foliage so we packed up the car and made the five and a half hour drive to the land of foliage: vermont! while i am no stranger to vermont, as i’ve been a few times and most recently to woodstock with andrea last winter, this was my first time to stowe. dana and i had the honor of staying at field guide for a night, which was one of the cutest hotels in the area!

happy friday everyone! and more importantly, a happy black friday! i hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving yesterday but now the fun really begins: the countdown to chirstmas! while everyone is very excited to take advantage of holiday deals and deep discounts, i will spread the same message that i do every year. it’s a reminder to those who are choosing to do their shopping today in the stores, remember to be extra, extra, extra nice and patient to the sales associates and staff members. they have to work incredibly long and stressful hours today and who knows what time they had to get up this morning to get to work. and typically, the time retail workers get to spend with their families is cut short so just be aware of that before you think someone is moving a little slower than you would like (*cough looking at you new yorkers cough*).

a few weeks ago, dana, elle, and i made the easy one-hour drive from nyc to fishkill farms to partake in my favorite basic-girl fall activity: apple picking! but to be honest, as much as i love myself a good orchard, i was really there for the cider and doughnuts. i have no shame. so we made sure to pick up a box before adventuring into their massive orchards so we could snack on them along the way. that was probably our best decision of the day!

happy wednesday everyone!
with my photography program in full swing and my shooting schedule being so busy, i have basically been living in jeans for the past 3 months with my hair almost always in a bun. although i will say i was in the darkroom last week in this tulle skirt and i had no complaints…but i made sure to wear the largest apron i could find haha it was truly a sight to see! aside from that exception though, comfort has been key for me these days. you will always find me now in comfy slides and oversized shirts!
but don’t worry too much though! with the holidays fast approaching, the cocktail dresses and midi skirts will be back before you know it!

with fall officially in full swing, i can finally bring out all of my layers! and let me tell you it has seemed like forever since i have been able to strut around the city in a jacket or coat and not be uncomfortably hot. thankfully on one of my shoot days with lydia a few weeks ago it was cool enough to sport this matching set in soho…and i think you can tell how happy i was! and of course, it didn’t hurt that this suit was under $150!

with the craziness of my photography program, plus this crazy side hustle, i’m up to my eyeballs in work. it’s definitely a good kind of crazy but i will be the first one to tell you i need a day off! or even just a nap haha!
but i’m so happy to finally be posting one of my favorite gal meets glam dresses from the september collection…at one of my favorite spots in the west village! and while the temperatures may now be a little too cold to wear by itself, i am excited to pair this beauty with either brown or green boots and a fabulous trench! stay tuned!
