with the beginning of the holidays, this means that fall is officially at an end. it has been fun, fall, and i will truly miss you deeply. thankfully i did save one more outfit that i shot here in nyc when the fall foliage was at its peek! this skirt has already made the rounds a few times in my real life wardrobe and loved pairing it with this oversized cozy sweater to show here on the blog! now let the christmas festivities begin and i can’t wait to show you all the holiday outfits for this year!
until next year, fall!

tomorrow is the day we have all been waiting for…the first day of fall! i cannot tell you how excited i am to finally break out my sweaters and jackets! however, mother nature still wants to pretend like it’s summer for the next few weeks. so i guess the cashmere will have to wait. i don’t entirely mind though because this gives me the chance to squeeze in a few more summer dresses before the leaves start to change!

spring is here! so bring on all of the flowy dresses and handbags filled with flowers! this is truly one of my favorite times of the year because the flowers and trees are starting to come back to life and the unbearable heat hasn't quite hit yet. when julia engel released her stunning line of dresses, i knew i was going to be obsessed from the start! from her first month's collection, i purchased six dresses...yes six! while my intention was to overbuy to scope out the collection and then later return, i ended up keeping almost all of them. but out of all the dresses, this one had to have been my favorite. aside from the color, the fabric felt the highest quality of the ones i ordered and i just felt like maria von trapp in it! so overall it was a win! i cannot wait to see what she keeps putting out every month!

if you have been following along on my instastories, it has been quite the adventurous few weeks for me. i began my roughly two week long trip with a family wedding in puerto vallarta, mexico. but while i may have absolutely loved the outfit that i was going to wear to the ceremony, i knew i wanted to be sure to exclude any blogging or photography (aside from iphone photos of course) during those days with my family. mostly because my parents may be used to my blogging ridiculousness, but my extended family definitely isn't...and i didn't think this was the opportunity to expose them to that side of me haha! but about a month ago, i saw this beyond incredible dress on karen of where did u get that and needed it immediately knowing it would be perfect for this beachside wedding. knowing i wasn't going to be shooting this in mexico, i decided to get a jump start and use this dress as an excuse to do my favorite springtime activity: rowing boats in central park! and i'm especially thankful to lydia because just days earlier she witnessed someone fall in the lake trying to take a photo...needless to say she was scarred and i offered that we used my equipment this day!
dress: self portrait (also love this version here)

alright summer, you're out of here! good riddance! adios! ciao! and don't let the door hit you on the way out. but before i fully kick summer to the curb, i couldn't help but squeeze in one more summer dress. sorry fall, i had too! this blue and white dress was just too irresistible for words and naturally i had to pair it with some white pumps. but that's it, i swear! let the layering commence and bring on all of the coats and blanket scarves!
Read Moreone thing people may not know about me is that i am a total math nerd - i even majored in finance in college! but one of my favorite segments of my math progression was geometry. now don't get me wrong, i will always have a special place in my heart for a good floral pattern but there is just something about a bold geometric print that makes me stop and stare! of course i needed to pair this statement skirt with my classic stripe tee (that i've had for ages) to add that extra pop! and as i was beginning this post, i saw jenn wear this same skirt three different ways. check out her post here! but we talk about that gingham top with it!? #stunning!
Read Morewith summer's heat creeping upon us - okay it is already here because this week in nyc was hot - i keep finding myself reaching for one of my old favorite combos: the crop top paired with a high-waisted skirt. and bonus points if they match! crop tops are an amazing way to show off your waist and the entire skirt or bottom all while staying comfortable with the climbing temperatures. what are some of your favorite ways to stay cool and comfy during the summer?
Read Morespring is here! and although the greenery has not quite come out, i couldn't help but dress like it already has. but i have to say, the weather this weekend was simply picture perfect, and i have never been so excited for spring to peak! i'm gearing up with these extra comfy sailor pants in the event that someone has an extra boat i can just borrow.
