Read Morethroughout the past year, i’ve really tried to make a conscious effort to re-wear a lot of the pieces in my closet. as a self-diagnosed shopaholic, this is definitely harder than it sounds. whenever i have a dinner or event, my first instinct is to begin shopping for a shiny new outfit instead of shopping in my own closet. but while this challenge to myself is definitely daunting, there is one piece that I purchased last year that has made the task infinitely easier: this blazer from blair eadie’s collection with halogen last year.

i know, i know…it’s no longer hydrangea season…but hey! better late than never! when i got back from my trip to rome, i found myself essentially drowning in unpublished content, which i’m aware is not necessarily the worst problem to have but i just couldn’t keep up with it all! so instead of powering through and editing all of the photos, i just let them sit there and procrastinated. i procrastinated so much that i am now posting an outfit from july…and would you believe me if i told you my last post was taken back in may??? oopsies.
dress: giambattista valli (also love the off-the-shoulder version)

alright summer, you're out of here! good riddance! adios! ciao! and don't let the door hit you on the way out. but before i fully kick summer to the curb, i couldn't help but squeeze in one more summer dress. sorry fall, i had too! this blue and white dress was just too irresistible for words and naturally i had to pair it with some white pumps. but that's it, i swear! let the layering commence and bring on all of the coats and blanket scarves!
Read Morehave you ever scrolled through a website and immediately stoped everything because you found the most perfect dress in the whole wide world? well that happened to me and this dress. the colors were perfection and the jeweled details had my name written all over it! but, of course, the reason i truly love this dress is because it is the epitome of a perfect garden party dress. it was at this moment that i wished i lived in a home with a spacious backyard so i could host pinterest-worthy parties with my own signature cocktail! ...i really wish this all the time to be honest.
Read Morespring and dresses have become synonymous and when i am able to twirl in one of those spring dresses, they get immediate brownie points! this dress was just what i needed to truly get into the spring spirit and the "twirl" effect did not disappoint. although, i instantly fell in love with this dress, i seemed to struggle with how to accessorize it...more specifically, what shoes to wear! probably because i'm a little particular with the shoes worn with maxi dresses. when the hem is longer, there is no question that i wear a heel or wedge, but when the hem is just the right length for me, i freeze up.
Read Moreour time in london was short, but thankfully we were able to carve out a little time to hit up regent street for a little (and much needed) shopping! of course, we stopped at our favorite european-based stores like ted baker and zara, but the afternoon wouldn't have bee complete without a visit to the kate spade shop! duh!
