the best purchase i’ve ever made
throughout the past year, i’ve really tried to make a conscious effort to re-wear a lot of the pieces in my closet. as a self-diagnosed shopaholic, this is definitely harder than it sounds. whenever i have a dinner or event, my first instinct is to begin shopping for a shiny new outfit instead of shopping in my own closet. but while this challenge to myself is definitely daunting, there is one piece that I purchased last year that has made the task infinitely easier: this blazer from blair eadie’s collection with halogen last year.
every time i’m looking to add something else to my outfit i almost always reach for this blazer. i need to add an element to a dress? add this blazer. i need something to wear it over a skirt to a formal event? add this blazer. need something cool to go with jeans? add this blazer. need a guaranteed piece to mix in some prints? thissss blazer!! get the point?
i can’t even tell you how fabulous i always feel when wearing this especially when it’s mixing with another print – which is how i typically wear it! one of my favorite ways to wear it is like a top and pairing a belt over a skirt. it’s also the perfect length so i feel like everything that i want covered is covered and it’s stretchy enough so that I’m comfortable in it all day for any event and can layer with
and now that blair just announced she’s continuing her reign as blogger/designer of the year with four new collections throughout the next year, i am desperately hoping she brings back this blazer in literally every way possible!
