in the trenches
oh how i love trench coats! they are the perfect coat to throw on when you want to look chic without any actual effort. which is why i am constantly on the lookout for them. before this kate spade trench, i had this michael kors one but always felt the need for something a little more luxurious. the obvious next step was to get a burberry trench coat - the most classic and iconic of all trench coats - but there was one little problem...it looked horrendous on me! you might be asking, "but aren't all trench coats essentially the same?" i thought that too but the answer is no.
no. no. no.
i wasn't even planning on buying a trench coat that unexpected day when i walked into kate spade on madison (if i'm not at work or home, you can find me there) and this coat was just sitting pretty in all of its glory.
*immediately purchases*
and the rest is history.
oh, and then i got milkshakes and a banana split at the most adorable little soda fountain in the west village with dana (see her post about it here). best. day. ever.
