getting cheeky with nashville
hello again! i know i have been incredibly sporadic on the site (and instagram as well) but i'm happy to announce that i've finally moved into my new apartment! i mentioned briefly here that i was fed up with my old (and first) apartment here in nyc and needed an out fast. i quickly fell in love with a similar sized apartment but this time with the benefits of an elevator and a doorman. literal life changers! the past week as been so hectic with all of the suuuper fun moving responsibilities that my blog has taken a back seat. so after my few days off, i'm finally able to sit down and share my posts from my trip to nashville with ashley! so get ready for a posting marathon!
while this first post may not be the most recognizable nashville scene, it was truly one of my favorites from the trip! i had stumbled upon the stunning cheekwood estate and gardens on pinterest and knew we had to make a pitstop. the grounds consisted of 55 acres of incredible greenery just minutes from the heart of downtown nashville. it was so serene that i would have thought we were in the middle of nowhere!
thankfully our trip overlapped with their tulips just a bit so we were able to catch the beginning stages of their bloom. one thing we did not anticipate in preparation for this trip was how cold it was going to be that weekend. the saturday forecast even called for snow! whhaaat!? ashley and i made do as best as we could but after taking our photos, we quickly hopped back in the car and blasted the heat!
the grounds of cheekwood were simply stunning and they only get more beautiful as the season goes on! the archway that i'm picturing below completely fills in with greenery during those warmer months! it would have been amazing to see the entire property in full bloom but i guess this just means that i'm going to have to go back again!
