Read Morehi everyone - this week was a heavy one to say the least. what happened in beirut was terrifying. countless lives were lost, thousands were wounded, and an overwhelming amount of families were displaced. so before i jump into my weekly roundup, i wanted to share this list compiled by the new york times of ways to help their community. i personally donated to the united nations world food program to help get food to those wounded and/or displaced from the blast but i know there are so many others who need our help. if are able, please consider donating to any of the organizations recommended by the new york times.

Read Moreit has been a heavy week but one that i know is necessary for the change of this country. in light of everything going on, earlier this week i made the decision to “mute” all personal content both here and on instagram in an effort to amplify melanated voices. as a white woman, i recognize my privilege and i wanted to take this time to listen and educate myself on how to be a better ally. while i may have been “muted,” i have been far from silent. the past week i have been sharing anti-racism resources, insightful movies and documentaries, organizations to donate to that support the black lives matter movement, black-owned businesses, and black creators within the influencer community. this week has been eye opening and i know we all have a long way to go, but let this be the first of many steps needed to address and change the racism in our country. i am focused on making changes in how i live and work and know it is the time to be more than “not racist,” but actively anti-racist.
so this week’s friday favorites is going to look a little different than usual. i’ve compiled so many of these tools that i have found useful and i hope you will too.
Read Moreanother week in the books! i can’t even begin to express how happy i am to be back in my apartment in nyc. i touched on it here in this post about why i came back to nyc but gosh it feels nice to be home. this week i had my first socially distanced shoot and while it felt a little funny with all of the precautions, it was so nice to get back into the swing of things. i’m hoping things will start to pick back up with shoots soon! i hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and i hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Read Morewell we made it though another week of this madness. this week i made tons of progress on the redecorating of my bedroom here in michigan. the removable wallpaper went up and next week we paint! i am still planning on heading back to new york in the next few days so i will just have to be surprised with the final result on my next visit! i’m still waiting for the frame, vase, nightstands, and bed so hopefully those don’t take too much longer. i hope everyone is still doing well!
