london // run for the notting hill
oh hello london!! it has been so long (okay okay only a year and a half) since my last trip to london but i was so excited to bring dana along this time around! one of the places i knew i wanted to revisit was notting hill. no exceptions! as the self-designated trip planner, i blocked off an entire afternoon to just stroll the streets of the cutest neighborhood in london and i still feel like i needed more time!
while we were in the neighborhood, we planned on getting lunch at the oh-so instagrammable farm girl cafe. i will say we got there fairly early (in our opinion) but were greeted by a swarm of girls and their lavender lattes. i immediately knew we were not going to get a table in the near future. there was a host shuffling girls outside to stand in line and i simply asked the gentleman, "when is typically the best time to come?" to which he rudely and frankly replied, "it's like this all day." in his defense, he has probably seen his fair share of girls taking over the cafe for their instagram of the day but i'm sure if i had gotten there sunday morning at 9am there would be no wait. but at that point we were so turned off by the whole situation, we felt it wasn't even worth it. so we went to plan b, the cutest little crepe shop just down the street!
we didn't let our poor experience slow us down because we had a schedule to keep! i truly could have spent an entire day just exploring the stunning houses and corners of notting hill!
with notting hill being so colorful, i knew i wanted to keep my outfit monochromatic. and i instantly reached for this stunning dress from one of my recently favorite brands, goat! i also wore one of their dresses here in brooklyn! their dresses are just too comfortable to pass up and i always feel so feminine in the pieces! i added an understated pump and my favorite circle bag and i was ready to explore!
